How to Hide Phone Number from Caller ID on Android

If you are an Android user, perform the following steps to hide your phone number when calling:

  1. Open your Phone app
  2. Tap menu icon
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll down and tap Supplementary services. In some phones, it may be under Other call settings or More Settings.
  5. Tap Show caller ID and select Hide Number

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Phone
  3. Tap Show My Caller ID
  4. Slide the toggle switch to show/hide your number

Manually Blocking Your Number for Individual Calls

If you want to block your number for specific calls, simply dial *67 before dialing the phone number. This will hide your number from showing up on recipient’s phone. Note, emergency services and toll free numbers will still see your number even when you are dialing using the above features.

Your phone company may also offer you the option to hide your number from all calls you make. You can look through your online account to see if this option is available or talk to a customer service representatives to turn on the option. Be aware, sometimes this becomes a permanent change and cannot be reversed. Before you make the change through your phone company, ask them to confirm whether it’s an option that can be reversed in the future if needed.
