What to do? If your phone has data or connected to a wifi network, you are in luck. This method of finding a lost phone works if your phone is signed into a Google account. This is usually automatic for most Android phone. You will also need to know the email address and password you used for your phone’s Google account.

How to Find a Missing Phone When in Silent Mode

To locate your missing phone, perform the following steps:

  1. Using a computer, visit Google’s Find My Device page
  2. Login using the same account information as you originally used to setup for your phone
  3. A list of devices under your Google account will be shown
  4. Click on Ring or Play Sound button

At this point, the phone will start ringing, even if it’s in silent mode. Sometimes, the ringing may not happen immediately and take a few seconds. Once you locate your phone, ringing can be turned off by pressing your phone’s power button.
