Outlook for Android by default has “Get Outlook for Android” as the signature. So, every time one composes an email, this signature gets added in automatically, unless it is deleted manually. If you are like me and don’t want this to show up in all your sent emails, you can easily change this signature to something else. This article discusses how to remove “Get Outlook for Android” when composing your emails.
It’s a good marketing tactic for email app makers, but this signature is not very professional for those who use Outlook Android for work/business purpose.
Steps to Remove “Get Outlook for Android”
Step 1: Tap on the menu bar icon, three horizontal bars, on the top left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap on the Settings icon to open Outlook settings.
Step 3: Scroll down to Signature and tap on the Signature section to change it.
Step 4: If you have a single Outlook account, enter the signature you wish to appear below all sent emails. If you have multiple accounts, you can setup a master signature for all emails or choose Per Account Signature.
Even though the signature field appears to be a single lined, you can tap the enter button on your keypad to add multiple lines. The signature field doesn’t support HTML or images, so you are unable to enter links or pictures.
Now, you have successfully gotten rid of Get Outlook for Android message from the bottom of all your future emails sent through Outlook Android.
